Hector R. Miranda

Designer Hector Miranda is a style expert for the modern tastemaker, offering signature statement pieces, custom clothing and accessories from reclaimed garments and materials for men and women.

Hector Ramon Miranda was raised in New Jersey, making the streets and nightlife of New York City his eternal playground. From the age of 17, he gravitated toward places where high and low fashion and society intermingled to the sound of world rhythms , Heaven and the Roxy were like second homes.

The influence of American pop art, grafitti art, body art, Gen X and club kid culture continues to inform his work. So does wordplay, as HRM also stands for His/Her Royal Majesty, a nod to the brand’s gender fluidity. Hector has always looked for unexpected ways to push creative boundaries. Since launching his eponymous label in 2021, he’s shown that original style is best explored piece by piece and without a formula, placing human expression at the heart of his work.

Since 2010 Hector has partnered as a ready-to-wear advisor with Gant, Marni, Etro, Moschino, Valentino, and Lanvin.. He’s also worked as a co-stylist for Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama, Drew Barrymore and Cher among others.

About Our Clothes

  • QUALITY

Based in New York City, HRM uses reclaimed garments, deadstock, and scrapwork to create artful, hand-crafted designs for men and women. Hector gathers his materials for each collection from a range of unique sources, maintaining an eye on the silhouette while placing an emphasis on quality fabric rich with its own past. Soft cottons, silk, suede and leather are typical hallmarks of HRM style.

  • RARITY

The final selection of garments then undergoes a series of treatments that equally distress and enrich the fabric, transforming the texture into one-of-a-kind custom made canvases. No two garments across our Crown, resort, and limited edition ready-to-wear collections are exactly alike and nearly all of this process is done by hand.

  • DESIGN

Each piece writes its own story through lines and colors, creating sensational narratives expressed boldly using ink, ice and tye dying techniques, acrylics, spray paint, vinyl, applique, embroidery, and always featuring HRM’s distinct crown logo, monogram, and signature.
